Air Fryer Shrimp Recipe

Even though this is an air fryer recipe, you can still make it in the oven if you don’t have an air fryer. Both cooking methods are just about equal, except cooking this shrimp recipe in an air fryer does make for juicier shrimp.

It’s just something about that convection heat that cooks the shrimp quickly and holds in all the juices. But like I said, both cooking instructions are in the recipe card below.

This shrimp is perfectly seasoned with a lemon pepper seasoning blend along with fresh lemon juice, paprika, salt and pepper. That’s all, nothing too fancy, just delicious, perfectly cooked shrimp that’s done in about 8 minutes!

What Kind Of Shrimp Should I Buy For This Recipe?

I’m not going to get into that whole farm raised versus wild caught thing here, buy what you can afford and what looks good at your grocery store. If you can, grab medium sized shrimp that’s already peeled and deveined to save you the trouble of doing it at home.

Often, we find this shrimp in the frozen section – and no there’s nothing wrong with frozen shrimp or any seafood for that matter! Sometimes frozen is even fresher since it’s frozen right at the docks.

Can You Make This Shrimp Recipe Ahead Of Time?

You can, but it’s best and perfectly cooked right when you make it! And since this recipe is done in literally 10 minutes, it’s not very hard to do it right before dinner. Leftover shrimp can be reheated for just a few seconds in the microwave or eaten cold with a dipping sauce like our Awesome Sauce or this Mango BBQ Sauce.
