What Kind Of Bourbon Is Best For This Cocktail?

So many readers ask us what our favorite brands of liquor is when we post cocktail recipes. Of course, we are happy to share our favorites, and we do have quite a few. But it really comes down to personal preference, and we can’t stress that enough.

When you’re making drinks like this Apple Bourbon Cocktail you don’t want to go totally top shelf, but I really don’t advise the bottom of the barrel, either.

So grab your favorite quality, middle of the road price range bottle and let’s get mixing!

Does Sparkling Cider Have Alcohol?

There are quite a few sparkling (and flat) ciders that have alcohol in them and we love them. Wolffers, Stella Artois and Angry Orchard are a few that we partake in, but there are many other brands that do hard cider well.

But there are lots of options of non-alcoholic sparkling and flat cider that you can buy, too. So if you want to keep the alcohol to only the bourbon in this cocktail recipe, a non-alcoholic cider will work perfectly.

Also non-alcoholic sparkling ciders are really fun if you have kids around. We usually grab a few bottles when we’re having parties or on the holidays to make the kids feel like they’re at the big kid table.

What Appetizers Go Well With Bourbon Cocktails?

Well, my friends, you have come to the right place. We’ve got appetizer recipes for every occasion! Whether your pairing bourbon with food for a tasting party or you’re just having a few friends over for happy hour, we’ve got you covered.

When picking a cheese for a cheese board, try going for a nutty and smooth cheese like gouda or cheddar. This combination of flavors and mouth feel will work well with the strong alcohol content in bourbon.
