A Fun Shot For Thanksgiving and Fall Parties!

These Apple Pie Shots are going to be the hit of any party…especially a holiday like Thanksgiving! You can serve up your favorite apple desserts and then have these shots on the side!

These whiskey and RumChata shots are so easy to make, you can even rim the shot glasses ahead of time and have them ready for you. The actual drink recipe here is for one shot, but you will obviously have enough pie crust to make several drinks, so make as many as you want.

How Do You Rim A Shot Glass?

For these Apple Pie Shots, we’re using a real pie crust that you bake a crumble into pieces. Dip the rim of a shot glass in dark corn syrup and then roll around in the pie crust crumbs.

Shot rimmed. Repeat for as many shots as you’d like to make. You can rim the glasses ahead of time, they might drip a little like you see in our photos but we think that’s totally acceptable.

What Kind Of Alcohol Do I Need To Make These Apple Pie Shots?

Just two ingredients is all you need to make this shot recipe. Apple whiskey and RumChata. Crown Royal has apple whiskey and caramel whiskey (which would also be delicious in these shots) but the apple flavor is obviously key to making these apple pie shots.

Other additions to this shot recipe could be a grating of fresh nutmeg, cinnamon and even a splash of apple liquor.

Apple Pie Shots

These fun and EASY Apple Pie Shots only have 2 ingredients! A real pie crust rim is what makes the drink!

Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • Dark corn syrup
  • 1 ounce RumChata
  • 2 ounces Apple Whiskey

Instructions

For Rimming The Glass:

  1. Bake the pie crust according to the package directions. Let cool and then crumble the crust until it looks like breadcrumbs and then place the crumbled crust onto a shallow plate.
  2. Pour dark corn syrup onto another shallow plate in an even layer. Dip the rims of 3 ounce shot glasses into the syrup and then roll around in the pie crust. You can do this for as many shots as you need, the drink recipe is for one shot and then you can double or triple or make as many as you want!

For the Shot:

  • Pour the RumChata into the bottom of the prepared shot glass. Slowly pour in the whiskey over the back of a spoon so that it doesn’t completely mix in with the RumChata and serve.
