A Champagne Cocktail For The Holidays
Nothing screams that it’s time for the holiday’s like all the cocktails. You decorate the house, make all the food, get everyone a few gifts…but then you need a couple good cocktails. I mean you need the cocktails. Am I right?
Something different and more festive to offer than just the basic drinks. I mean, it is Christmas time after all, we need to kick things up a little.
This Cranberry Whiskey Sparkler looks like a simple cocktail (and it is) but it has some crazy intense flavors that you don’t expect when you take a sip.
First of all, let’s talk about the Crown Royal Regal Apple. This apple whiskey is infused with apple flavor but it doesn’t taste too much likes apples…are you with me? So this whiskey has delicious apple flavor, but it’s not overpowering. It’s just perfect.
Then we’re going to add fresh rosemary, cranberry juice and of course, champagne. It’s the perfect cocktail for the Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or really any party that you are hosting.
The best part (besides the taste) is that you can make this Cranberry Whiskey Sparkler cocktail ahead of time and top it off with the champagne before serving. You can even make up all the individual glasses ahead of time!
Hw Do You Make This Cocktail Recipe?
All you need to do is add the whisky, the rosemary and the cranberry juice in the bottom of champagne glasses and then just top off with chilled champagne.
Easy, festive and totally delicious.
I would definitely recommend getting an Extra Dry or Brut champagne (or prosecco) because the cranberry juice is sweet already so you don’t want a sweet champagne also. Unless sweet is your thing, then by all means, by what you like drinking.
So what you’ll end up with is a slightly fruity, herby, sweet and tart cocktail that your guests will go crazy over.
If you really want to kick up the garnish you can top this Cranberry Whiskey Sparkler cocktail off with some fresh cranberries too (or even a splash more of the Crown Royal Regal Apple if you’re me) and then sit back and relax, cause it’s time to get the party going.
