Homemade Salad Dressing ALWAYS Tastes Better!
So, we’re not opposed to buying products from the store, obviously. We buy tons of store bought everything. I mean, this is modern times people, I don’t have time to whip up everything we eat from scratch.
But salad dressing is just one of those things that we do always make homemade. Our standard salad dressing that the boys eat almost every night isn’t even mixed together, they just add olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a few seasonings to their salad and toss it together in their bowls.
The only standard store bought dressing we buy is a bottle of Ranch that we keep in the refrigerator for dipping. Because homemade salad dressing just tastes SO much better than anything from a bottle.
How To Make Homemade Creamy Caesar Salad Dressing
Well, friends, it couldn’t be easier. Which is another reason why you should just make your dressing yourself. For this Creamy Caesar Dressing all you have to do is add all the ingredients to a blender OR simply whisk together in a bowl.
Often we’ll just whisk this salad dressing recipe in a bowl, especially if we’re short on time. There’s really not that much difference in the texture, it’s totally up to you how you want to make it.
What Makes This Homemade Caesar Dressing So Good?
A few simple ingredients is all you need to make this dressing, with one ingredient that we think kicks up the flavor of this creamy Caesar dressing. Whenever you’re making a recipe like a homemade salad dressing that only has a few ingredients, you have to make sure all your ingredients are top quality.
So don’t go grabbing that can of parmesan cheese for this recipe, get the good stuff in your produce department or better yet grab a block of good parmesan cheese in the cheese section and grate it yourself.
Also for a Caesar Salad recipe, I do like the dressing tossed together with the lettuce instead of being added to the top of your salad. This creamy dressing is just one of those things that tastes better when you toss it all together before serving.
Next add fresh black pepper, homemade croutons if you like, and more shaved parmesan cheese on top.
