One bite of this Caesar BLT Sandwich and you’ll never make a BLT any other way again! It’s a simple concept, we know. But it’s one of those things that once you try it, you’ll realize this is the way a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich was meant to be.

Why We Love This Caesar BLT Sandwich
Because, what’s not to love? A classic sandwich with one simple switch that doesn’t change the core flavor of the original sandwich. It doesn’t change the flavor, it just makes it even better.
If you’ve been around here long enough, surely you’ve made our Homemade Caesar Dressing before, and this sandwich is another way we love using it. You can make the dressing ahead of time (even though it only takes 5 minutes) and keep it in your fridge all week for easy meals.
We love keeping all of the elements for this sandwich in the refrigerator so that everyone can grab what they want and feed themselves!
How To Make
Even though this caesar blt sandwich is super easy to make – hardly a recipe at all – there is a method to making the most perfect sandwich ever and we think we nailed it.

- Dress the lettuce and make the bacon: Make the dressing and toss it with shredded Romaine lettuce. Cook the bacon until crispy using your preferred method (we like the oven method).
- Assemble and serve: Toast thick slices of sourdough bread and spread the dressing on the inside of each slice. Add the tossed lettuce to both sides, then stack one side with sliced tomatoes and one side with bacon. Flip the bacon side over onto the tomato side, press down and slice.

Variations
While we think this Caesar BLT Sandwich is perfect as is, there’s lots of different ways that you can switch up the flavors. These are some of our favorite additions and/or swap outs:
- Add chicken or turkey: A rotisserie chicken works great for this, or any leftover chicken or turkey that you have, even sliced deli meat.
- Swap out the bread: You can really use any type of bread you like, white, rye, pumpernickel, even a ciabatta roll. Just make sure that the bread is sturdy enough (which is why we like toasting first) to handle these hearty ingredients.
- Add toppings: Sliced avocado, sprouts, roasted red peppers, thin slices of apple or some shaved parmesan cheese.

What To Serve With BLT’s
This sandwich is a mouth-full, so it’s definitely filling enough to stand alone. But who can resist a side of your favorite chips? We love adding sides to these sandwiches when time allows, especially for parties!

- Creamy Caesar Dressing
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 2 thick slices sourdough, toasted
- 4 pieces of bacon, cooked until crisp
- 4 slices of tomato (we like beefsteak, on the vine or heirloom)
Instructions
