Try this Slow Cooker Spiced Rum Cocktail for warming up on a cold day. And as a bonus while it’s warming for hours, your house smells amazing!
Hot toddies, warm cider with bourbon, hot chocolate…all warming cocktails that you can enjoy on a cold Winter day.
Although cold weather is not my favorite, there is something to be said for bunkering down inside by a fire with a big bowl of comfort food and a warm drink to sip on like this Slow Cooker Spiced Rum Cocktail.
It’s easy to make, nice to look at, and like I said – just wait and see how your house is going to smell once this drink gets going for an hour or so. Forget lighting those candles…just fire up the slow cooker and get this Slow Cooker Spiced Rum Cocktail started.
Well, you can light the candles, too. But you can drink this spiked cider while you’re looking at them.
How Do You Make This Slow Cooker Cocktail?
Really all you need to do is add all the ingredients to a slow cooker and turn it on. It’s honestly that simple.
Let the cider simmer on low for 3-4 hours to really let the flavors blend together and it’s ready to serve. You can also keep this cider cocktail going on the “keep warm” setting, or the lowest setting, if you need to keep warm throughout the night.
But me, I need to start grabbing a cup or so after a couple of hours. It just smells that good, I need to dive in. We love making cocktails like this for just hanging out at home or even better for a party…but here’s the thing I need you to know.
This Slow Cooker Spiced Rum Cocktail is super tasty, super comforting and super easy to make. But right alongside your slow cooker should be a bottle of Spiced Rum. Just to add a floater to the top in case you or your guests might want to.
And usually, they do.
