This Rum Harvest Cocktail is my twist on a classic rum and coke cocktail, with fresh lime juice and cranberry to add to the fall flavor!
A Fall Flavored Rum Cocktail
This rum cocktail is really what I like to drink during the colder weather. It’s a rum and coke – but kicked up in the flavor area a lot with the addition of fresh lime juice and a splash of cranberry.
Using a spiced rum brings out a fall-like flavor in this rum drink and I have to tell you, I kind of love it! There’s nothing like the classics, but making a kicked up version of a classic is always fun to try!
How To Make A Fall Harvest Cocktail
Basically this drink recipe is as easy as making a rum and Coke. Just add spiced rum, cranberry juice, fresh lime juice and ice to a high ball glass. Stir that together and then top with Coke.
Adding a garnish like this lime twist and dried cranberries drives home that fall feeling! Especially fun to do if you’re serving these Rum Harvest Cocktails at a a party, or a holiday like Halloween or Thanksgiving.
This rum drink reminds me of my trip to St. John, the best vacation of all time. I went there 2 years ago with my family and friends and haven’t been able to get it out of my head. Perfect beaches. Perfect little town area to head into at night for dinner/drinks/music.
Best beach vacation so far – hands down. So this time we gathered a few more friends and their kids and are heading back right after Thanksgiving.
So swap out the rum if you want, but make sure when you do make this cocktail that you use fresh lime juice – it really makes a difference in the outcome of the drink. And I promise you you’re going to love it!
