Rum and Cherry Coke Slushie

A Frozen Rum & Coke Drink Recipe

Warm weather means cold drinks. Cold wine, cold martinis and ice cold beer. All of the above works for me, even if you’re enjoying your cold beverage of choice inside – you still don’t feel like something thats’ going to weigh you down.

Or you can try another rum cocktail like this Light and Calm Rum, or you could even throw your own rum tasting party like I did!

Whatever your go to drink is, you have to try these Rum and Coke Slushie drinks if you are sitting outside on a hot summer day…it’s just like drinking one of those drinks form the movie theaters…except these slushies are of the boozy kind.

If you go for a Captain and Coke or just a Rum and Coke – this is my twist on that favorite cocktail. Cranberry-cherry juice, ice cold Coke, lots of ice and lots of rum.

How To Make A Rum and Coke Slushie

You do have to whip these frozen drinks up at the last minute but it only takes a few minutes so you’re going to be outside on the deck or by the pool in no time.

Just get some juice and ice in a blender and blend it up until it’s smooth, like a slushie. Pour in a good amount of rum and blend once more…then get it into your favorite pirate glass like mine and top it off with a long pour of Coke.

OK, I get it. You might not have a cool pirate glass like mine, but I thought it fit the theme of Captain Morgan Rum. And it’s just a lot more fun drinking out of a glass that’s shaped like a skull.

Top off this frozen rum drink with a few fresh cherries and serve.
