How To Make Rice Krispie Peppermint Blossoms
I’m going to take you through how to make these step by step – you’re not going to believe how easy they are!
Start out by making a batch of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies® treats…you know how to make them…
Then you’re going to add in a cup of crushed peppermint, you can even by jars of crushed peppermint candy like I did to really make this easy, but if you crush the up yourself just throw the peppermints in a plastic zip top bag and crush them up with a rolling pin.
Stir it into your rice krispies…
You do need to work a little quickly here, as you know these will harden up quickly so son’t worry about being to exact with the size of your balls. Just get in there and grab a handful, roll into a ball and place a chocolate candy in the middle.
And repeat.
If they do start to harden up on you – here is a cool trick. Take the whole bowl and throw it in the microwave for 15 seconds and they’ll soften up again for you! You can do that as many times as you need to and they’ll be just fine.
How fun are these? I can promise you, they’re as fun to eat as they are to make! Get the whole family involved in this recipe, maybe these Rice Krispies Peppermint Blossoms will become one of your new cookie traditions!
