Big Mac Sliders are a ground beef recipe for appetizers

Big Mac Sliders Recipe With “Special Sauce”

I’m going to go out there and say that these Big Mac Sliders are a home run. Yep, an over the fence, out of the park home run.

Because that’s how flipping amazing these beef sliders are. And you know I wouldn’t lie to you guys, take me word that you will be making this dinner recipes like all the time.

Make these ground beef sliders for dinner, for parties, for potlucks or even appetizers. These sliders taste just like biting into a Big Mac, only in my opinion, even better. Why is it better? Well it’s homemade so you know it’s got to be better FOR you.

And for two, it’s a super easy dinner recipe that the whole family is going to love. I guarantee it. If you can’t find these little sesame seed slider buns you can use any slider buns, or even go big with a regular size sesame seed bun.

What is Special Sauce?

Here’s a little hint for you too…the special sauce in this sloppy joe recipe isn’t just added on top…it’s mixed right in with the beef. Any of you who know McDonalds Big Mac sandwiches know what special sauce is. But in case you have been under a rock for 30 years or so, here it goes:

Special Sauce Ingredients:

  • Mayonnaise
  • Ketchup
  • Pickle relish
  • White vinegar
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt

Big Mac Sliders taste just like biting into a big mac!

Instead of making a big burger patty, I turned this dish into a loose meat sandwich similar to a sloppy joe. Mixing that special sauce right in with the onions and beef to make these sliders super creamy and super delicious.

I Know what you’re thinking too…mayonnaise is a hot beef filling??? TRUST.

I’m never going to steer you wrong when I’m talking about epic food recipes here, you have to just try it for yourself and see. One of the things I love is hearing people tell me that even their “super picky eaters” love our recipes. Because not only are they fun to eat but they are fun to look at!

Like they say, we eat with our eyes first and these sliders are a work of art.

Can You Make These Big Mac Sliders Ahead of Time?

The answer is mostly, yes.

You can make the filling ahead of time, but I do recommend doing it a certain way. Make the beef filling and the sauce separately.

Then right before serving heat up the beef filling and mix the sauce in with it while it’s warm. That way these sliders are the best tasting, creamiest versions of themselves. Like I said, there is mayonnaise in this special sauce recipe so you want it to be fresh when you heat it up with the beef.

A ground beef slider with pickles and cheese

Right before serving assemble the beef filling onto the buns with the pickles and cheese. And yes, if you’ve got picky eaters that for instance don’t like pickles? Leave them off. They might graduate to that perfect pickle bite sooner or later…

You can also make this recipe on full size hamburger buns if you don’t have sliders available. Or if you’re serving these sliders for dinner instead of appetizers you might want to just go ahead and use a larger bun. Totally up to you, they’ll be just as tasty!
