Champagne cocktails are a go to drink for the holidays.
Champagne always feels like a party, even when it’s not. Am I right?
This Christmas Morning Mimosa is a go to brunch cocktail, but it’s also great for serving in the evening at your cocktail party or Christmas Eve party.
Any party. Any time of day. You get the idea.
Because the flavors in this mimosa work so well together, it doesn’t have to be Christmas time for you to enjoy it.
How Do You Make A Mimosa?
Typically a mimosa recipe is just champagne and orange juice.
Just add orange juice to a champagne flute and top off with champagne. You can pretty much just eye ball it, there’s no measuring involved.
Just make sure you have about half orange juice and half champagne. Those are my ratios anyway. If you order a mimosa out at a restaurant you’re going to get about 2/3 orange juice to about 1/3 champagne.
That’s way too much orange juice in my opinion.
For this Christmas Morning Mimosa you’ll need Amaretto, grenadine, orange juice. Adding another liquor to your mimosa recipe will not only add to the flavor but add a little more kick to your mimosa.
And a little more kick around the holidays is always welcome.
There’s no difficult layering tricks here either, the grenadine will naturally sink to the bottom of the drink because it’s heavier that the champagne and orange juice.
So you get that cool, layered drink look without any work at all!
Serve these mimosas for your Christmas brunch, breakfast or Christmas Eve Party! You’re going to love the flavor in this mimosa recipe so much, you won’t make a regular mimosa again!
