This Hard Citrus Iced Tea is the perfect cocktail to sit back and relax with! The light taste of the citron vodka adds the perfect flavor to this iced tea!
There’s nothing like the weather warming up outside, sitting on the deck, firing up the grill and having a nice cold cocktail. Usually for me that’s a beer or two but once in a while it requires something else.
I like to use different flavored vodka for all types of cocktails, especially when the weather is warmer and you need a drink to not only help you relax but to simply cool you down. This Citrus Hard Iced Tea delivers both.
To start out this drink you have to brew a few cups of tea, then chill it down in the fridge. We always seem to have tea in the refrigerator these days, green tea, black tea and usually some sort of fruit flavored expensive tea that is only for my wife to drink. I might have to steal that one day too and whip up some sort of tea-infused martini…
But for this one, you just need a few cups of black tea sweetened with honey and chilled. The key here is to add the honey while the tea is hot so it dissolves – it won’t do that very well in the shaker with ice later…You can also substitute agave or a sugar-free sweetener if you need too – it’ll all work. Just basically get your tea sweetened at this point the way you like it before you chill the tea in the fridge.
After you get you tea brewed and chilled, add it to a shaker with ice along with Ketel One Citroen vodka and fresh lemon.
A few fresh mint leaves and you’ve got a totally refreshing cocktail that’s fit for any party! Brew tons of tea and make this in a large pitcher for a crowd, or one glass at a time just for you.
