  • Vodka: Any kind of vodka that you like, but use plain vodka, not flavored.
  • Elderflower Liquor: Grab a bottle of this liqueur and you’ll have it for a while. Typically you only need a small amount in most cocktail recipes.
  • Cranberry Juice: You only need half an ounce to achieve the delightful pink color in these cosmos!
  • Fresh Lime Juice: Yes, fresh.

How To Make

Five minutes is all you need to get these drinks poured and ready to serve! Take an extra step and chill your glasses 15 minutes before you pour the drinks.

  • Juice the limes: Make sure that you use fresh lime juice for this Elderflower Cosmopolitan. Bottled juice just won’t taste as fresh.

Variations

While we think this cosmopolitan cocktail is perfect as is, you can switch up a few things to make it your own! For one, if you swap out the elderflower liqueur for Cointreau or Triple Sec, you’ll have yourself the most perfect, classic Cosmopolitan.

If you do fancy a flavored vodka, you can try using vanilla vodka instead of regular vodka. This will give you a slightly sweeter taste, but still delicious.

Lastly, if you’re feeling super festive, you can top this cosmo off with seltzer or even prosecco! A fun finish to the drink that will certainly make the night feel special.

Can You Make These Cocktails Ahead Of Time?

Yes! We love batch cocktails or freezer door drinks. Multiply this recipe times however many drinks you need (a feature in the recipe card will help you do that) and then store in a container or a pitcher in the refrigerator.

When it’s time to serve, shake or stir the drink to combine the ingredients again (sometimes the pulp from the fresh lime juice will settle to the bottom) and then pour out however much will fit into your shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into glasses. Repeat as needed.
