This Birthday Cake Martini is so creamy and delicious, it tastes like a birthday cake in a glass! A super fun way to celebrate a friend or loved one.
Birthday Cake Martini Recipe
This martini is literally like drinking your birthday cake. I used Cake Vodka combined with RumChata and Liquor 43 to make the flavors just right. Add some frosting and sprinkles for the rim and you’ve got liquid birthday cake.
The birthday dinner is definitely important, I’m ordering up a few of these Whiskey Burgers and some apps. Lots of apps. For starters, we’re making some Nacho Wings, then moving on to Buffalo Chicken Dip and then maybe rounding the apps off with Turkey Meatballs.
You know, just a few…
How Do You Rim A Martini Glass?
Everyone’s always asking me how I rim my martini glasses for my drinks to come out looking so good. Practice for one, lots of practice…
But I do have a few tricks up my sleeve. One is using corn syrup to rim some glasses. Usually a glass dipped in water works out fine but for pictures it can run and then not look so good.
But this Birthday Cake Martini needs to have a rim that you can eat…and no one wants to eat corn syrup so I used frosting instead. No need to make your own frosting here – the stuff from the can works just fine. In fact it probably works better since it has that crazy thick consistency.
Cool right? So get your rim looking party-ready and then shake up the martini. It’s pretty much like having your dessert in a glass – which I’m totally OK with.
Serve this martini up to the birthday guy or girl, or make a whole batch for the table. Everyone else should get to try it too, I mean everyone gets a slice of birthday cake, right? Who says you can’t have your cake and drink it too!
