Why We Love This Yankeetini!

We’ve been New York Yankee fans for a really long time, from way back when it was the old Yankee Stadium. We do miss the nostalgia of the old stadium but the new stadium does have it perks.

One of them being NYY Steak, a fancy, super delicious steak house right in the stadium. I have to say…I’ve been there quite a few times. Our whole family has been there quite a few times to be honest. It’s a treat for sure, but the food and the location can’t be beat.

Besides getting the most delicious steak you’ve ever had, order yourself a Yankeetini to wash it down. It’s the color of the Yankees, it’s strong and boozy and it’s refreshing as hell. Tell them Dan sent you.

Ingredients You Need

Just three ingredients (plus a lime!) is all you need to make this tasty vodka martini! The ingredients are listed below the photo with some swap outs if you need them. Head to the recipe card at the end of the post for the full recipe.

ingredients for making a yankeetini
  • Mandarin Vodka: Regular orange vodka or even citron is fine, too. But we love the sweet orange flavor of this mandarin version.
  • Blue Curacao: To make it the Yankees blue color, this liquor is the only way to do it! It has a slightly citrusy flavor, heavy on orange and it’s fairly sweet.
  • White Cranberry Juice: Because regular red cranberry juice would dull the blue color. You can find it in most grocery stores.
  • Limes: Fresh limes for squeezing into the martini and also for garnish.

Can I Make This Martini Ahead Of Time?

Yes! Which makes it perfect for parties and watching the game. No one wants to be stuck in the kitchen shaking up a Yankeetini everytime someone needs a refill.

Double, triple or make this martini recipe in a giant pitcher ahead of time and stash it in the refrigerator. When your ready, pour a serving into a shaker with ice and shake until frosty. Pour into a glass and garnish. Of course, you can have a bar set up with ice, shakers and lime wedges so your friends can do this themselves!

Appetizers To Serve With Martinis

Since this martini is strong and slightly sweet, we need big flavors in our appetizer recipes. Rich, cheesy and/or spicy foods are going to go very well with these fun and festive drinks.
