A Fun, Delicious Martini Recipe

For the times that I don’t have one of my boys with me I like to hit the NYY Steak House at Yankee Stadium and order a Yankeetini.

I have become somewhat of a “regular” at NYY Steak House, I like to go with my wife or take different friends of mine that have never been there before. The food is out of this world. It’s the first place that I ever had fried oysters, which I fell in love with and led me to re-creating them at home. I think that we did a really good job too, they were almost better…

Besides the food being outstanding, I like to go and hang out with all the Muckety-mucks and my favorite bartender, Mitch. It’s fun to people watch and see how the other half experiences Yankee games at the new stadium now. There wasn’t anything like the NYY Steak House at the old Yankee Stadium, nothing close, but that had it own nostalgia to it – so it didn’t need a steak house.

Whenever I take someone new to the NYY Steak House, I always get them a Yankeetinie. It’s the color blue of the Yankees and it’s strong as hell. Like the Yankees. I also happen to like it a lot when guys take a sip of the blue martini thinking that it’s a girl drink and watch their reaction when they realize it’s not. A couple of these and you’re going to need a nice, big steak to even yourself out.

While nothing beats the atmosphere at the NYY Steak House while you’re drinking your Yankeetini, I often find myself making this cocktail at home.

I think I’m getting the hang of this, this Yankeetini tasted totally like the one I get at the NYY Steak House. So make this yourself at home and grill up a big juicy steak or head on over to the NYY Steak House and order one up at the bar.
