This Blueberry Vodka Cooler is so light and fresh tasting, you’ll forget the vodka is even in there!
Not that you want to forget about the great taste of Kettle One Vodka. It’s good straight up all on its own.
It’s also a great choice to make these drinks with – it’s smooth and like a good vodka, it enhances the flavors of the drink without overpowering it.
This Blueberry Vodka Cooler might seem like a summer drink to you but for me it’s going in the “all year ’round” cocktail category. Blueberries are always a good choice at the grocery store year round so you can make this drink whenever you want to.
And you’re going to want to, I promise you that.
We picked up this blueberry seltzer the last time we were out shopping around for ingredients. After hiding it from my kids for a few weeks…I pulled it out and tried to figure out what to make with it. Straight up it was good, but a little sweet so I definitely wanted to use a good vodka and fresh fruit to balance out the sweetness.
Besides vodka and blueberry seltzer I added some elderflower liquor to bring out the flavor in the blueberries and mint. Elderflower is a floral liquor, but not sweet as you might think, so it also worked perfectly in this drink.
If you can’t find blueberry seltzer like the kind we got at Trader Joe’s you could also just use clear blueberry seltzer which I’ve seen in most grocery stores. As long as the blueberry flavor is there you’ll be good to go.
Or you can make you’re own twist on this drink and use whatever seltzer/fruit combination you like best…
Because let’s face it – the most important part here is the vodka.
Use a quality vodka like Kettle One to make this Blueberry Vodka Cooler and you’ll be mixing them up round after round.
I put this cocktail together for thebar.com so definitely head on over and check out tons of other amazing cocktails on their site!Print
