Even if you’re not a tequila fan, we urge you to try this Pomegranate Tequila Cocktail. Sweet and tart pomegranate juice blends perfectly with smoky tequila and a pop of fresh rosemary.

What Kind Of Tequila Should I Use?
You can really use any type of tequila that you like drinking. Obviously we’re not going to use a top shelf, expensive tequila for mixing, but you do want it to be something that you like the taste of.
We like using a reposado tequila which is a tequila that’s been aged in oak barrels. Reposado tequila offers flavors of vanilla, caramel, dried fruits with a toasty finish.
Of course if you like a blanco tequila that works fine in this cocktail recipe, too. Blanco tequila has a lighter, cleaner flavor because it isn’t aged. Fresh cut agave flavors can often be picked up.
Variations
In addition to the flavors we have in this tequila cocktail, you can switch up the flavors to your liking. Try different flavors of pomegranate juice, or even cranberry juice works well. A splash of grapefruit juice, like our popular Paloma Cocktail is a fan favorite.
Fresh basil or oregano will bring out the notes in the tequila nicely, so use whatever you like.

Ingredients
- 1/2 ounce Raw Brown Sugar Syrup (can also use agave or simple syrup)
- 2 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces pomegranate juice
- 1 fresh rosemary sprig (for garnish)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake and pour into a low glass and garnish with the rosemary sprig.
