why We Love This Tequila Drink!

Since everyone these days is so big into rosé wine, my house not excluded, I thought I’d make up a cocktail that is going to be a go to recipe for everyone.

These Tequila Rosé Spritzers are going to be strong like a tequila drink should be, but it’s going to be smooth enough for all the non-tequila fans to also enjoy also.

I aim to please everyone.

What Kind Of Tequila Should I Use To Make This Cocktail?

If you can get your hands on a bottle of 1800 tequila, silver or añjeo or reposado will all work really well in most tequila drink recipes. It’s a nice, smooth tequila and also affordable enough to mix into a cocktail recipe.

Also, just to note, this Tequila Rosé Spritzer is a fairly low carb drink recipe. One large cocktail is only about 7 carbs. Usually you’d see a lot higher carb count with a wine cocktail recipe but since we’re adding tequila to this drink we get away with fewer carbs.

Because tequila has ZERO carbs. Yep, Zero.

Win win, yes?

What Kind Of Wine Should I Use?

Obviously you’re not going to want to use an expensive bottle of wine to mix in a cocktail. Save those for straight out drinking.

But on the other hand you don’t want to use something so cheap that you won’t like the flavor of it, so I’ll say go for something in between. You should be able to find a decent rosé wine for about ten bucks that would be perfect for this recipe.

Rosé wine can be on the sweeter side or the drier side so that option is up to you. We like dryer rosé wine so that’s what we use for this drink recipe but if sweeter wine is your thing then grab a bottle of what you like!

Can I Make This Cocktail Ahead Of Time?

Yep and for parties you absolutely should! All you need to do is add everything to a pitcher, double, triple or quadruple the recipe for how many guests you have…

Stir and keep in the refrigerator until party time. Then pour into glasses and top with seltzer right before serving.

Honestly, this tequila drink is the perfect party beverage! It’s light and refreshing and it won’t weigh you down. We’ve been making these a lot for summer parties and bbq’s, Cinco de Mayo parties or really just Tuesday.

No judging, we like our happy hours around here.
