Sesame Chicken Milanese

These crispy, fired chicken cutlets are topped with a super simple salad with homemade dressing! This easy chicken recipe is going to be a favorite!



For the Dressing

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed with garlic press (or can substitute garlic paste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Pinch of salt


4 cups of mixed baby greens

Parmesan cheese, shaved for topping (optional)


  1. Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally so that you have 2 thin cutlets from each piece of chicken, 8 total.
  2. Place all the ingredients for the marinade in a dish and whisk to combine.
  3. Then add your chicken and marinate for 30 minutes to an hour.
  4. Set up a breading station with 3 shallow dishes. Put the 2 eggs in one dish and scramble them up, put the cup of flour in the other and put the panko and the sesame seeds in the last dish.
  5. Dredge the chicken in the flour, dusting off the excess. Then dip into the egg and let it drip off. Next put the chicken into the panko/sesame mixture, pressing the crumbs onto the chicken to coat it well. Set aside and repeat with remaining chicken.
  6. Heat a large skillet up with the olive oil over medium high heat. Once hot, add in about half the chicken pieces. Saute for about 4 minutes, then turn. Cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side until brown and cooked through.
  7. While the chicken is cooking, you can make up the salad dressing. Add all the ingredients into a container and with the lid on tight, shake until it’s combined well. The mustard will keep the dressing from separating while it sits.
  8. When the chicken is done, place a couple of pieces onto a plate and top it with some baby mixed greens. Drizzle the salad dressing all over the greens and the chicken. Place the shaved parmesan on top and serve.
