This Watermelon Cosmopolitan is the ultimate summer drink! A twist on the classic drink, this version uses fresh watermelon instead of cranberry juice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cubed seedless watermelon (you’ll need 1/2 cup of juice, see note)
- 5 ounces vodka
- 1 1/2 ounces Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Add the watermelon to a blender. Blend until liquified. Set a fine strainer over a bowl and pour the juice through the strainer, using a spoon to squeeze the juice through.
- Measure out 4 ounces (or 1/2 cup) of the watermelon juice and pour it into a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, Cointreau and lime juice. Shake well and strain into two martini glasses.
Recipe Notes
Depending on the size of your watermelon cubes, you’ll need about 2 cups of watermelon to make 1/2 cup of juice. We typically make more than 1/2 cup and save the juice for cocktails another night.
