Crunchy Tortilla Shrimp

Crunchy Tortilla Shrimp are fun for a tapas night or happy hour! Jumbo shrimp breaded in crushed tortilla chips and baked until crispy!



  • 1 pound medium to large shrimp, deveined with tail left on
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups crushed tortilla chips
  • Guacamole for serving


  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Season the shrimp with the taco seasoning and the salt, tossing to coat.
  3. Place the flour in one bowl, the eggs in another bowl and the crushed tortilla chips a third bowl.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the flour, tapping to get the excess flour off and then dip the shrimp in the eggs, and finally the tortilla chips. Make sure to press the chips onto the shrimp to get a nice even coating.
  5. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the shrimp on the baking sheet and spray with an oil-based cooking spray. Bake for 5 minutes, then flip the shrimp, spray again and bake for another 5 minutes on the other side.
  6. Serve the shrimp with guacamole, salsa and/or sour cream for dipping.
