Slow Cooker Ribs

These Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs couldn’t be easier to make and you won’t believe how amazing they turn out! An easy dinner recipe for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 2 (about 3 pounds each) baby back ribs
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
  • 1/2 cup All Purpose Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Mix the All Purpose Seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl.
  2. Remove the silver skin from the backs of the ribs (see note). Rub the seasoning on both sides of the ribs with your hands, making sure to use all or most of the dry rub. Cut the slabs of ribs in half so that they fit into your slow cooker.
  3. Spray a 7-8 quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray and then add 2 pieces of the ribs. Pour 1 cup over the top of the ribs, then add the last 2 pieces of ribs on top, followed by the last cup of sauce.
  4. Set the slow cooker on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Test the ribs with a fork to see if they are done towards the end of the cooking time. Slow cookers do cook differently, so your ribs might need a little more or less time to become fork tender.
  5. Transfer the ribs to a cutting board and cut into sections or individual portions. Place the ribs on a serving platter and spoon some of the sauce from the slow cooker over the ribs.

Recipe Notes

How to remove silver skin from the backs of the ribs: Take a sharp knife and insert the point right underneath the sliver skin. Make a cut large enough that you can grab a piece and then gently pull it off the backs of the ribs.

Store: Store leftover ribs in a container instead of wrapping so that the sauce stays in tact. The ribs can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheat: Reheat the ribs in a 350 oven until warmed through. Alternately, the microwave is a great option since these ribs are super tender.
