Cook frozen salmon filets in your air fryer in just minutes! The air fryer makes these salmon filets so juicy and flavorful, and there’s no time wasted defrosting the fish!
Ingredients
- 4 skin-on, frozen salmon filets
- Kosher salt and fresh black pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup Teriyaki Baste & Glaze (or our Homemade Stir Fry Sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees if needed.
- Season the frozen salmon filets with salt and pepper. Spray the basket of your air fryer with non-stick cooking spray. Place the salmon filets, skin side down, in the basket in a single layer and cook for 6 minutes.
- Baste the salmon filets generously with the teriyaki glaze and then cook for another 7-8 minutes or until internal temperature is 145 degrees. The cooking time will vary if the salmon filets are thin or thick, farm raised or wild caught. This recipe is for wild caught, thinner salmon filets so adjust the time if your salmon filets are thick.
Recipe Notes
Type of Salmon: This recipe work best with thinner pieces of frozen salmon, typically those that are wild caught. If using farm raised salmon, try and get thinner pieces that won’t take too long to cook in the air fryer from frozen. Alternately, you can defrost the salmon first if the filets are thick and then follow the same instructions.
Store: Store leftover salmon in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Freeze: Freezing previously frozen and defrosted salmon isn’t recommended, but if you do have to freeze the fish, flake with a fork and freeze in a freezer bag for salmon cakes or salmon salad.
