We’re turning your favorite fast-food burgers into an epic holiday side dish! This White Castle Stuffing is super easy to make and unbelievably delicious. It’ll be the recipe that everyone asks for!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 frozen White Castle hamburgers
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 2 cups chicken stock (or broth, make sure that it’s a brand with a rich flavor that you like)
  • 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Let the sliders thaw at room temperature for 5-10 minutes, just enough so that you can cut them up. Once thawed enough to cut, cut each slider into 9 pieces, 3 cuts one way and 3 cuts the other way. Add the chopped burgers into a large bowl. Pour in the beaten egg mixture and toss gently to combine.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Butter a 1 1/2 – 2 quart capacity baking dish and set aside.
  3. Add the butter to a large skillet and let melt. Add the celery and onion, stirring in with the butter and cook for 5 minutes until softened. Season with poultry seasoning, salt, pepper and thyme and then stir to combine.
  4. Pour in the chicken stock, stir and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour the chicken stock into the bowl with the cut up burgers and toss together. Add the mixture to the prepared baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 35 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 20 minutes. If you don’t like a crispy top, leave the foil on the entire baking time.
