This Easy Chimichurri Sauce is ready to go in just minutes. A flavorful herby sauce with a tangy kick that’s perfect for spooning over grilled steak, chicken or fish!

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (packed) flat leaf parsley, most of the stems removed
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons diced red onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • 1/21 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, depending on how spicy you want the sauce
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients, except the olive oil, to a food processor or blender. Process the sauce until it has a rough texture, not completely smooth (See the pictures in the post for reference) and then spoon into a bowl.
  2. Pour the olive oil over the sauce and stir tom combine. Let the sauce sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes or up to an hour so that the flavors can blend together.
  3. Serve with grilled meats or fish, or use as a dipping sauce for bread and vegetables.
