This Cheesy Sausage Crostini is the appetizer recipe that everyone will be asking you for! AND it’s super easy to make – you don’t have to cook the sausage ahead of time!

- 1 (long and thin) french baguette, cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
- 1 pound Italian sausage (loose or removed from casings)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Add the sausage, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, the parmesan cheese, cream cheese, parsley, Italian seasoning and garlic powder to a large bowl. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
- Place the sliced bread onto a baking sheet. Spread a thin, even layer of the sausage mixture onto the sliced bread onto each slice. Bake for 15 minutes and then remove from the oven.
- Preheat the broiler.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese onto the sausage crostini and place under the broiler for 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
- Serve immediately.
