An easy, but dazzling dessert! Baked Sliced Apples are so delicious spooned over ice cream or served with whipped cream on the side.

Ingredients
- 6–7 apples, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch slices (a mix of granny smith and honeycrisp work well)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 5 tablespoons butter, divided (3 tablespoons melted, 2 tablespoons not melted)
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Place the apple slices into a large bowl and add both sugars, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt. Toss to combine.
- Butter a 9″ x 13″ baking dish and then pour in the apples. Dot the top of the apples with the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, cut into smaller pieces. Wrap tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the dish from the oven and stir gently so you don’t break up the apples. Uncover and bake for 10 minutes longer. stir again and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
Recipe Notes
Store: To store leftover apples, transfer to an air tight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
Reheat: Reheat a serving of the apples in the microwave until just warmed through.
