This Slow Cooker Beef Stew is so easy to make you won’t even have to think about dinner! A little help from the store is all you need here!
An Easy Slow Cooker Beef Stew
I love using short cuts when I can – who doesn’t right? Slow cookers already are a huge time saver so when you can take a little more help from the store it saves you even more time. I’m telling you, 5 minutes to put this stew together. All that’s left when it’s done is to stir in the sauce and boil up the noodles.
So what made this recipe so easy? We used Stubb’s® Smokehouse Bourbon Cookin’ Sauce. Stubb’s® has been sending us lots of their products this year for us to try out and we’ve definitely had our favorites like these Green Chile Hand Pies and this Cheesy BBQ Chicken Dip.
How To Make Slow Cooker Bourbon Beef Stew
All you have to do is grab yourself a steak and cube it into large pieces, rub it in the the dry rub that’s in the package and get it into your slow cooker with some beef broth. Let it cook for 4 hours on high heat and it’s pretty much done…
Drain the beef broth off and stir in the bourbon cooking sauce. Dinner is done. Now you choose your starch – rice, noodles, a side of potatoes, even french fries would be great with the extra gravy on top. Tons of options.
We wanted to keep this recipe as is to show how easy it is to make, but we came up with some other options too as we we’re eating it for dinner that night…flood bloggers…always thinking…so you could also stir in a little sour cream to make it into kind of a stroganoff, or just some heavy cream to make the sauce creamier. This Slow Cooker Bourbon Beef Stew would actually be perfect tossed with some steamed broccoli and served over rice like a beef and broccoli stir fry…Poured on top of crispy french fries to make a beef poutine…you get it, there’s lots of ideas if you don’t just want to eat it straight up.
But straight up was good for us – when you’re making recipes left and right every day an easy one thrown in there is a definitely a relief!
