It’s cocktail Friday! I’m serving up this El Presidente rum drink for you today with pineapple juice, fresh lime juice and a splash of grenadine.
We went over to a friend’s house for dinner the other night and after dessert the cigars and the rum were pulled out. I’m talking about high-quality sipping rum that goes hand in hand with a nice cigar. The conversation seemed to be all about Cuban things that night…Cuban rum, Cuban cigars, Cuban food, and so on.
So I thought this El Presidente cocktail would fit in perfectly with the Cuban theme, for those of you who don’t prefer to sip your rum straight up. My wife for one, keeps trying different types of liquor like bourbon or tequila sipped neat…it’s not for her. For her this El Presidente is a much better option. I have to admit that it’s pretty tasty, even if you are the type to sip your rum straight up…which I am…you’re still going to love this drink!Print
