Why You’ll Love This Hard Iced Tea

There’s nothing like the weather warming up outside, sitting on the deck, firing up the grill and having a nice cold cocktail. Usually for me that’s a beer or two but once in a while it requires something else.

I like to use different flavored vodka for all types of cocktails, especially when the weather is warmer and you need a drink to not only help you relax but to simply cool you down. This Hard Iced Tea delivers both.

To start out this drink you have to brew a few cups of tea, then chill it down in the fridge. We always seem to have tea in the refrigerator these days, green tea, black tea and usually some sort of fruit tea.

So if you don’t have time for brewing, garb a high quality unsweetened ice tea from the store.

How To Make Hard Iced Tea

The key here is to add the honey while the tea is hot so it dissolves. It may actually congeal in the cocktail shaker with ice, so this step is important.

You can also substitute agave or a sugar-free sweetener if you need too – it’ll all work. Just basically get your tea sweetened at this point the way you like it before you chill the tea in the fridge.

After you get you tea brewed and chilled, add it to a shaker with ice along with regular or citrus vodka and fresh lemon.

A few fresh mint leaves and you’ve got a totally refreshing cocktail that’s fit for any party! Brew tons of tea and make this in a large pitcher for a crowd, or one glass at a time just for you.
