It’s Friday, and better yet – it’s almost happy hour. Let’s get some shots going with the Climax Moonshine Banana Drops!
These shots are a twist on the famous lemon drop shot. A lemon drop is sweet but also tart to from the lemon juice and usually served with a sugared rim.
But instead of tart and sweet, these banana drops are sweet and strong. Banana liquor mixes together with Licor 43 and you guessed it, Climax Moonshine.
For anyone who’s not familiar with Licor 43, it’s a sweet Spanish liquor that’s made up of 43 different flavors with citrus and vanilla standing out the most. You can drink it neat, on ice or use it in a variety of different cocktails.
I’m telling you guys, even for those of you who think you don’t like moonshine, you have to try these shots. The banana and vanilla flavors are sweet at first but the strong moonshine comes through to give it a punch at the end.
So what does that mean to you? It means that if you’re a moonshine drinker – you’re going to love these shots because you still taste the moonshine along with the other ingredients. And if you’re not a moonshine drinker…well, these are sure to make you become one. Before you know it you’ll be buying up jars at your liquor store right along with your beer and wine.
The best part about this recipe is that you can easily multiply the ingredients and make up a whole pitcher instead of individual shots. Then just shake them up when it’s party time and serve.
You can even rim the glasses ahead of time and have them ready to go. If you want to leave the sugared rim out that’s totally up to you – sweet or not too sweet. You’re call.
Once you try these Climax Moonshine Banana Drops I’m sure they’ll quickly become one of your new favorite shot recipes!
