Champagne Moscow Mule

A Champagne Moscow Mule is one of our favorite champagne cocktails! We serve these fun drinks for holidays, parties and happy hour!

Don’t forget the appetizers! When you serve fun, but strong drinks like these you have to bring the food out, too! Try a beautiful cheese board or this Mushroom & Thyme Cheesy Toast, that tastes as good as it looks.

What Is A Moscow Mule?

I love a good Moscow mule, especially when it’s served up in the traditional copper mugs. It almost doesn’t even taste the same unless it’s in a copper mug, right? It’s weird how that works. So when I found these copper champagne glasses I knew exactly what I needed to make – my twist on a Moscow mule, one with champagne.

A Moscow Mule is a cocktail recipe made with vodka, spicy ginger beer and fresh lime juice – and it’s crazy refreshing and delicious. So for this Champagne Moscow Mule we’re swapping out ginger beer for ginger liquor and adding a splash of champagne.

There are a couple of things we always seem to have in our liquor cabinet or refrigerator. Champagne, wine, vodka and whiskey or bourbon. Of course we have a full bar that’s always pretty stocked but those are the staples.

How Do You Make This Champagne Cocktail?

This champagne cocktail recipe follows a Moscow mule recipe except instead of ginger beer I’m using champagne. So it’s the vodka, champagne, fresh lime and a splash of ginger liquor just to add that ginger flavor.

If you’re making these champagne cocktails for a party you can make a mixture of the vodka, lime juice and ginger liquor ahead of time to have it all ready to go. Then just top off with champagne when your guests arrive, easy as that.

Buy whatever champagne or prosecco you like to drink for these cocktails, but I chose to get a dryer champagne (a brut) so it didn’t turn out to be a sweet cocktail. BTW, if you guys ever need my favorite, inexpensive champagne recommendations, please email me or comment below!

So to answer your question – no, you don’t have to run out and buy these awesome looking champagne flutes, a regular champagne glass will do fine – but if you happen to come across some I say grab a bunch!

Can you tell me where you found the glasses? I can’t seem to find them anywhere online and I would love to do this cocktail for my upcoming wedding!

Hi Aelie! I found them at Home Goods. I’m not sure what area you’re from but it’s a local housewares store in my area.

    Hi Dan,

These look great. I found your site because my wife pinned a photo of those glasses, but we have been unable to locate them online. Do they have a brand name? I would love to pick up a set for the holidays, so any info that you can give me would be great (did a search for home goods, but that did not seem to yield results).

Hi Jordan thanks for stoping by! I gave the glasses to a friend, so let me do some digging and I’ll get back to you!

It’s the question of the month Yotam! I got them at a local store called Home Goods. I think they must have been one of a kind!

Jennifer, I’m so sorry, I should have bought all of these when I first saw them. There’s literally no vendor name on the bottom. And I’ve contacted Home Goods and they aren’t very helpful. Sorry about that!
