Korean Beef and Broccoli Meatball Kabobs
  • 2 packages Cooked Perfect Fresh Meatballs in Korean BBQ Beef flavor
  • 1 head of broccoli, broken into florets and steamed until crisp.
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • 8 wooden skewers
For the sauce
  • ¾ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water
  1. Start by making the sauce for the broccoli.
  2. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder and sriracha to a small pot.
  3. Stir and bring to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the cornstarch mixture, stir and bring back to a boil.
  5. Remove from the heat.
  6. Cook the meatballs according to the package directions
  7. Add the steamed broccoli to a bowl with ½ cup of the sauce and mix together to combine. You can add more or less sauce to the broccoli depending on your taste.
  8. Thread a meatball onto a skewer then add a piece of broccoli. Repeat until 4 meatballs are on the skewer, then repeat with the remaining 7 kabobs.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds.
  10. Serve warm.
To steam the broccoli, I like to add the washed broccoli to a microwave safe bowl with ¼ cup of water. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and cook for 3-4 minutes until steamed crisp. Be careful when removing the plastic wrap, the steam will be hot.
